The Team Finland network promotes Finland's external economic relations and country brand, the internationalisation of Finnish companies as well as foreign investment directed at Finland. Its aim is to intensify cooperation between Finnish players in these sectors.
The core of the Team Finland network consists of the Ministry of Employment and the Economy, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Culture, as well as the publicly funded organisations and overseas networks whose performance they oversee. The Team Finland network is steered by the Government. More than 70 local teams around the world handle its activities abroad.
Fundamental changes in the global economy have led to a situation in which the well-being of Finns depends ever more strongly on matters outside Finland's borders. We must be able to influence the operating environment abroad, and to support the making of choices abroad that are advantageous to us. We can accomplish this best through cooperation.

Team Finland Tunis stakeholders in Tunisia include the Tunisian-Nordic Chamber of Commerce & Industry, naturally Finnish company representatives and other potential Finnish business representatives.
Team Finland Tunis promotes potential trade cooperation in different sectors in Tunisia which is undergoing a phase of democratic transition including considerable cross-cutting societal reforms. Cooperation with the Tunis-based African Development Bank (AfDB) continues with the aim of promoting Finnish companies in competing for public tenders and open calls of the bank, notably in the field of education. Following also Libya from Tunis, there is a genuine interest towards Finnish know-how in different sectors in Libya.
Potential sectors identified for Libya are e.g. sustainable urban development and construction, telecommunication, education and health care. Team Finland Tunis uses the Embassy website and its Facebook-pages as its main means of outreach along with various publications and participation in different kind of events on-site. Finland’s image as a wealthy, democratic Nordic country paying attention to its environment is generally very well perceived in both Tunisia and Libya. The will and potential to cooperate and strengthen ties with Finland exists. Finnish know-how, particularly in technology is well known. Operating in both countries’ trade markets requires patience and endurance to continuously keep up the dialogue with local partners in order ensure successful participation in and completion of projects.
